Finding a Home

    After ten years of stability, life took an unexpected turn for Tammy and her son. Due to a difficult situation, they suddenly found themselves without a place to call home. What could have been the start of a long and uncertain season became a story of hope, perseverance, and community, thanks to the support of Love INC of Mid-Delmarva and our incredible church partners.

       When Tammy was connected with Love INC, she joined our Case Management Program, where she received support every step of the way. Through this program, Tammy was guided in applying for housing, setting and achieving personal goals, and connecting with a mentor who would walk alongside her through the process.

Laura, her dedicated mentor, worked closely with Tammy to develop a financial plan that would prepare her for long-term success. Together, they created a path toward stability, one that led to a joyful ending.

       At the end of October, Tammy and her son received the wonderful news that their housing application had been approved. Within days, they signed the papers and moved into their new apartment. Thanks to the coordinated efforts of Love INC’s Connection Center and the generosity of a church partner, Tammy was provided with all the resources she needed to make her new apartment a home.

        Now, Tammy and her son will have a place of their own to spend the holidays, a space filled with warmth, safety, and hope for the future.
