62 from Homeless to Housed

Meleda and her family are now the 62nd individuals to go from homeless to housed through Love INC’s system of accountability.

When Meleda first came to Love INC, she was facing one of life’s hardest seasons. After losing her father, she and her children found themselves without a home—living in a hotel that quickly drained her finances.

With courage and determination, Meleda connected with Love INC and began working with our case manager. Over the next 14 months, while living in transitional housing, she worked tirelessly to rebuild her life.

Through the guidance of a financial mentor, Meleda became debt-free.

-She found a better-paying job.

-Her son graduated high school and went to college.

-And she achieved one of her biggest goals—moving into a privately owned home!

Today, Meleda continues to meet with her case manager, Margaret, as she works toward even more goals for her and her family.

Meleda’s story is a powerful reminder of what can happen when hard work, hope, and community support come together.
