Compassion as Community: More Than Assistance

At Love INC of Mid-Delmarva, we believe transformation happens when a community comes together. Every day, local churches, businesses, volunteers, and supporters unite to meet practical needs, build meaningful relationships, and walk alongside neighbors facing difficult circumstances.

What makes this possible is a growing network of people committed to loving their neighbors well. Today, our Love INC community includes more than 120 business partners, 100 church partners, and 90+ Love Your Neighbor members who help make hope tangible throughout our community. Together, they provide resources, encouragement, mentorship, volunteer service, and support that help individuals and families move toward greater stability and independence.

Recently, Tanitta Thomas shared her experience after witnessing this mission in action:

"I was brought to tears at the compassion & the genuine love that Love INC shows to the community. Those in need receive much more than assistance. They receive relationship, partnership & the personal power to keep going. In essence, they receive the true gospel in action, 'Love God & Love your neighbor as yourself.' The partnerships between the churches & businesses in the area shows that it is possible to work well together to serve & be a blessing to the community. I look forward to working with them in the future."

Tanitta's words capture the heart of what Love INC strives to do. While meeting needs is important, our mission goes beyond providing assistance. Through relationships, accountability, collaboration, and the collective gifts of our community, we seek to help neighbors experience hope, dignity, and lasting transformation.
