Behind the Scenes: Celebrating Volunteer Jean Archer

At Love INC of Mid-Delmarva, serving our neighbors well takes more than what happens on the front lines. It also takes people who are willing to work behind the scenes, tackle the details, and make sure our ministry is equipped to serve with excellence.  

We have over 1,000 registered volunteers and 250 active volunteers that are vital when it comes to our operations at Love INC.   

One of those people is Connection Center volunteer Jean Archer.  

Jean took on the enormous task of helping clean up records within our database to improve care and reporting while continuing her regular responsibilities at the Connection Center, including answering phone calls and caring for our neighbors.  

Because of her dedication and attention to detail, 500+ unconnected accounts have been reduced to just 70.  

More Than a Database Cleanup  

While this work may sound like a simple administrative project, it has a significant impact on our ministry.  

Accurate records help us better understand how our community is engaging with Love INC. They allow us to:  

• Tell a more complete and accurate story of our ministry   

• Track volunteer, donor, and neighbor engagement   

• Provide reliable reports to supporters and community partners   

• Make informed decisions about our programs and services   

• Ensure our records are organized and connected to the people and ministries they represent   

In other words, Jean's work helps strengthen the foundation that supports everything we do.  

A Servant's Heart in Action  

Some of the most important ministry work happens quietly. It doesn't always come with a photo, an event, or a story that makes it onto social media. Sometimes, it looks like answering one more phone call, helping one more neighbor, or spending hours making sure hundreds of records are accurate.  

Jean has shown what it looks like to serve with that kind of dedication.  

Her willingness to take on an important need, pay attention to the details, and go above and beyond has made a tremendous difference for Love INC and for the neighbors we serve.  

We are incredibly grateful for Jean and for the many volunteers who faithfully give their time, skills, and energy to Love INC of Mid-Delmarva.  

Praise God for volunteers who are willing to wear multiple hats, serve wherever they are needed, and use their gifts to help us love our neighbors well.
