We are grateful to celebrate our 108th neighbor move from homeless to a place to live.
On July 4, a devastating house fire left a family of six without a home and facing an uncertain future. In the midst of this crisis, the family was connected to Love INC of Mid-Delmarva through the Laurel Foundation, opening the door to support, stability, and a fresh start.
With immediate housing needs and significant financial challenges, the family was welcomed into Hope House, where they could begin rebuilding their lives while working toward a more permanent solution.
Both parents had been unable to work since January, and the family faced mounting financial challenges that made finding affordable, permanent housing even more difficult.
Love INC worked alongside the family throughout their stay at Hope House, helping both parents explore employment opportunities while continuing to search for safe, affordable housing. The process required patience, persistence, and a commitment to finding a sustainable path forward.
Through the family's determination and the support of community partners, a suitable home was eventually secured.
Today, the family is successfully housed and has moved into a home where they can continue rebuilding their lives together. After experiencing the sudden loss of their home, they now have a place to establish stability, pursue new opportunities, and look toward the future with renewed hope.
Their journey is a reminder that moving from crisis to stability takes more than a temporary solution. It takes partnership, compassionate support, and a network of community members willing to walk alongside families as they work toward lasting change.
